Gracie has found a home!

My very favorite of all of my assemblage/shadow box pieces that I have created is my "Little Mermaid".  She has been on my Etsy page since the very beginning, the first piece to ever be listed and I always hoped secretly that she wouldn't sell.  I almost couldn't bear the thought that she would be shipped to some unknown place to reside in someone unknown's home.  As fate would have it, she had yet to sell in that first month and   I made the decision to bring her with me to the Chicks Along the Canal show earlier this month.   It was there that Kim of the whimsical little bead shop here in town first spotted her.  It's been two weeks since that show and just the other day I received a message from her that she saw her there, fell in love and knew she absolutely must have her.  Though a tad bit sad to see her go, I couldn't have been more thrilled to have her go to such a wonderful place.  I have always felt there is some magical quality about my little Gracie and so am so excited to think of her on display in such a magical little place.

Entering the World of Zetti yet again . . .

This week at over at the Three Muses blog, Ann has got us entering the enchanted world of all things Zetti.  I love Zetti but have to admit I'm not entirely sure I belong there.  I always seem to struggle a bit with these challenges (perhaps that's why I keep giving them a shot) and am never quite sure what I think of my final product.  Oh well . . . There it is!

Holy Moly!!!

Just a quick "pipe-in" to let everyone know that my blogspot has been acting a bit screwy.  I spent a considerable amount of time catching up on here the other day (pictures, links, the works) only to have it all just vanish on me.  This was the 2nd time this has happened to me in a month and though I am entirely frustrated, it's not clear at this point what I am to do about it.  When I get over it and I find the time I need to recreate it, I will be back, I promise.  Can't wait to share all the news about my fabulous "Chicks" show.

For the next month I will be a Guest Deviant over at Deviant Scrap.  I can't wait to get creating with Hollie's wonderfully creative kits.  Wait til you see the one premiering in the shop this Monday; sweet as roses!

Correction . . .

A couple of posts back I was so excited to share that I was going to have one of my layouts published in the August 2010 issue of the DST Insider and well, I was a little too excited because I didn't read my message from them closely enough and missed something.  I apparently gave two separate layouts of mine the exact title.  So when I thought that Fly! was being published . . .

it was in actuality, Fly! that was being published (hehehee) . . .

 which I assure you is soooooo much better!

While my little fairy is cute and I do indeed really dig her signature red boots, this second layout featuring myself really does reflect me as a person, as a dancer and as an artist, so much more.
